The Merida Big Nine 20 Hardtail 29" is your next step bike to dip your toes in an offroad adventure. This bike is fitted with 2x8 Shimano gears which is the next level up from the recreational 3x gears, giving a bit more rock clearance, better ratios for cross country riding and most importantly, less maintenance.
