The Merida Big Trail 500 Hardtail is ready to rock 'n roll on the technical mountain bike trails. The slightly longer travel will set you up nicely for some gnarly descents. It is designed to be fun and comfortable. The big 29" wheels will help you roll over everything quickly and safely. You get bang for your buck with this beast. It comes with RockShox Recon Silver SL Air Fork with 140mm travel, Shimano 11 speed Deore gears for crisp, efficient shifting on the fly and a handy dropper seatpost to get the seat right out the way when you are hammering it down technical descents. It has a remote actuated clutch, which you can engage before the descents to reduce chain slap. A well-rounded, well-priced performance driven Hardtail MTB.
