Description

The ProSeries Bicycle Crank Extractor Tool is a dual-purpose crank puller designed to remove both standard square taper and splined ISIS Drive or Shimano Octalink Crank Arms. It includes a 14/15mm socket/8mm Hex.

Features

  • Dual Design - Features a removable or magnetic tip adaptor. Use the small tip for square taper spindles and remove/flip it for the wider push-rod required by hollow splined axles (ISIS and Octalink)
  • Standard Threading - Fits standard M22 x 1 crank arm internal threads
  • Operation - Typically operated using an 8mm hex wrench or a 14/15mm spanner depending on the specific handle or socket configuration of the tool variant

How to Use a Crank Extractor

  • Remove Crank Bolt - Use an 8mm hex wrench or socket to remove the retaining bolt from the centre of the crank arm
  • Retract The Tip - Ensure the inner pushing pin (the rotating tip) is threaded back out so it does not protrude past the outer threads
  • Thread Into Crank Arm - Screw the o uter body of the extractor clockwise into the internal threads of the crank arm by hand until fully secure
  • Extract The Arm - Turn the handle or inner bolt clockwise with a wrench to drive the inner pin against the bottom bracket spindle, pressing the crank arm off the taper
