The BYK E540x9 Girls Mountain Bike is the perfect bike for the fun and adventurous kid. It has a wide range of gears, so they can cruise round the streets, or head offroad for some single-track adventures. This bike is designed to be superlight weight so that your kid does not get left behind on the trails. It weighs in at only 12kg. As usual BYK's perfect geometry and attention to detail will make this a comfortable, light and stable bike to ride. It will fit kids between the ages of 7-11 years/height 130cm -160cm. The bike will be at home with smooth roads or technical street or offroad tracks.

Like the entire ByK Range, this is not a scaled down adult bike. Every single component has been considered, tested, custom sized and tuned to suit our rider's profile. Our unique ergonomic riding position and geometry offer a range of riding positions and adjustability unexpected at this size.

Performance:

We have weighed every single component, measured to a millimeter the geometry and ergonomics and tested on every trail we could find. Our long list of premium components is outstanding.

We have broadened the range of our world class Shimano 9 Speed trigger gearing system. We've customized the tuning of our off-road suspension forks for kids specific use and made them on-road friendly with lock out control.

You'll also see we've increased the power of our V brakes to match the performance of many disc brakes down hill but at the same time saved a huge amount of weight so the rider can get up and over hills too. We have strengthened our wheels, used extra grip lightweight tyres, an ergonomic saddle and customized our unique V bars for off-road fun.

Everything has been considered to make this bike perform in a class of its own. The ByK E540MTBG re-defines MTB fun for kids.

To make a children's bike safe, the rider needs to be able to brake efficiently and confidently. The custom-sized V-Brakes we have used are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit. And they are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy. Our light weight alloy rims ensure pedalling is easier. But more importantly alloy rims are a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.
